Slapstil/ Szarpuszka — a simple stringed instrument

Workshop participants will construct their own stringed instruments. They will undertake construction experiments to check how the laws of acoustics work in practice and how different production techniques produce different sound effects.
Robert Naczas — runs “DaShtick Guitars”, an experimental violin-making workshop in Krosno, where he builds stringed instruments according to his own ideas: traditional and experimental — ones that are not yet known to musicologists. These are variations on violins, guitars and cellos. It carries out various violin-making projects that meet the individual needs and orders of violin makers.
The meeting is carried out as part of the Galician Instrument Fair 2024 project, the culminating event of which is the Instrument Fair on June 8, 2024, from 11.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. in Kasztel in Szymbark.
This event includes a rich program of artistic and educational activities: an exhibition of instrument makers, thematic presentations, concerts, workshops, playing together and dancing. Free entrance.
