On March 11, 2023, in Chyża 95 (Nowycia), took place the ceremonial opening of the ‘NOWYCIA Foundation’ established by Stefaniya and Mykhailo Markowych.

The profiles of the founders and the main goals of the foundation have been presented.

During the ceremony, Mr. Mykhailo Markowych gave a gift to the representative of the Ukrainian House in Przemyśl with an original copperplate – hand-colored – of Old Przemyśl issued by the BRAUN-HOGENBERG company in 1572 in the series “CIVITATES ORBIS TERRARUM”.

The ceremony was crowned with the performance of ensemble ‘Krajka’ from Przemyśl. The ensemble, under the direction of Tatiana Nakonieczna, presented unique, traditional songs from many regions of Ukraine and south-eastern Poland.
