“Carolers in Ukraine” — Petro Sypniak — report

The exhibition “Corners in Ukraine” by National Artist of Ukraine Petro Sypniak, opened at the Ukrainian House in Przemyśl, became a sincere and profound artistic testimony to the immortality of Ukrainian Christmas traditions. (…)
The exhibition consisted of 25 works by the artist, full of Christmas warmth and inner light. (…)
The exhibition was curated by Ms. Lilia Kalinowska, coordinator of cultural events. Also present at the opening were the chairman of the Przemyśl branch of the Union of Ukrainians in Poland, and the director of the Ukrainian People’s House in Przemyśl, Mr. Ihor Horkiv. Ivanna Nowakiwska, a master of art history, was also invited to deliver a lecture and provide a professional assessment of the works on display.
A highlight of the opening was a performance by Oksana Savitska, soloist of the Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic. (…)
The exhibition was organized by the Nowycia Foundation, its founders — Stefaniya and Mykhailo Markowich, and Maria Tucka, former president of the Union of Ukrainians in Przemyśl, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Home Foundation.
